New Features added to TAS Professional 7.5 Build 1 Powered by CAS. have been done after we started releasing version 6.16 released 07/01/03 - current.
The program is now Shareware! So please share your experience with others to help promote the use of this programming tool. We have introduced this program into the user supported sector of shareware. The software is not free. Thru annual support and unlimited no-nonsense runtime distribution. We hope this will make our program more attractive to new programmers and our long time supporters of the program.
NEW pricing TAS Professional powered by CAS developer is a user supported program.
Annual support to help keep TAS professional development on a forward moving basis is still $200 per year. Without your continued support TAS Professional can not grow so please support us so we can support you. This $200 annual support fee also includes a single company runtime and more single runtime's can be purchased for $99 each.
Unlimited runtime available for only $399.00. With this licence you can deploy your TAS PRO powered by CAS programs to your end users with no more royalties. Note : Annual support for TAS is still $200 per year.

New Support for HTML Help system we now support both (.HLP) and (.CHM) See the command. As of version 7.4. We did this because Microsoft is no longer supporting (.HLP) files.

As of version 7.4 the can be used to copy information from this screen into the current source code editor. Just double click on the file, Field or key and it will be copied into your current source making this feature a powerful lookup tool for your programming.
ADO / ODBC Support – Need to access live data that isn't stored one of the two supported database formats in TAS Professional format? Not a problem. With ADO and ODBC you can now use TAS Professional to view, edit, and modify data in virtually any format. Connect to MySQL, Oracle or MS Access databases and tables. Even MS Excel spreadsheets can be used as a live data source. See the new SQL example included and the SQL() function. More you can now use up to 10 datbase sources.
Complete documentation of new features in .PDF and .CHM systems and full current up to date DOCS on our website. All TAS programs TASPRO7.EXE, TASRUNTIME.EXE and TAS Exicute now use TP7DOCS.CHM file. We are abandoning the .HLP format since Microsoft is no longer supporting the .HLP format in the new Vista Op systems. You can still use the .hlp format if needed in your programs.

We have added a new folder in the installation of TAS PRO in here you will find example programs to show you show to use some of the features in TASPRO. Email test and Spelling are now in this folder. More will be added.

New Program installer TASPRO now comes with a free program installer called GP-Install this is the same program we use to deploy our programs so now TASPRO is an even a better all in one package for the software developer.
New Bitmaps
We have added 250+ .BMP files to help you in programming your applications. Files are located in the new folder called bmp.
You can now use in dependant skins to set your applications apart from other programs. There is a new folder called skins where we have put some 50 new looks your programs can use.
Skin Builder
With this program and a graphics editor you can customize your own skins. With one function call you can change the entire look of your program.
Spelling

Dynamically print pictures in your reports

(internet mail application protocol) has now been added to the program This allows you to use the default email program on each users computer like outlook and outlook express or any email program the client may have that supports this protocol.

TAS Professional powered by CAS is an on going work and we will be adding new feature to this all ready powerful programming tool. However this development costs our development team time and money and we would like you to do your part by supporting us with our annual Support program. It's only $200 per year and is a small price to pay for on going development of the TAS Professional powered by CAS project.
Future versions are planed to support Compression, FTP, Internet access to thin client database access and more new screen objects Functions and commands.
